Ashfiled Grey is the perfect match for Sydney face bricks, which were often used at the rear of many heritage Federation and Californian Bungalow homes.

In Sydney’s early days, many bricks were made from ‘Ashfield Shale’, the seam of clay named after the suburb of Ashfield. Our Ashfield Grey brick is an excellent match to this, partly due to sourcing clay from Sydney and surrounds. But also because our dry-pressed manufacturing technique is exactly the same as one that produced the originals. So, our Ashfield Grey brick is as close as possible in colour and texture to Ashfield Shale.
